The President of Nalut University participates in the second international scientific conference of the Faculties of Education in Zintan.

The College of Education in Zintan witnessed a scientific event on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, marked by the launch of the second international scientific conference for colleges of education at Libyan universities, under the slogan "The progress of society begins with the teacher."

The opening included important welcoming words, a speech by the President of the University of Zintan, which hosted the event, in addition to the commendation from His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Imran Al-Qeeb, regarding the scientific activities of the University of Zintan. The minister emphasized in his speech the pivotal role of educational teaching as a fundamental pillar for comprehensive national development, stressing the urgent necessity to elevate the status of teachers and develop their capabilities so they can fulfill their noble mission to the fullest.

Among the academic figures who attended this conference was Professor Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, President of Nalut University, which confirms the university's interest in actively participating in national efforts aimed at developing higher education.

The conference primarily aimed to conduct an in-depth discussion about the reality of teacher education colleges in Libya and to envision their future in light of modern and rapid educational developments. The discussion topics focused on vital issues such as teacher preparation and qualification to meet contemporary requirements, updating curricula to align with the latest educational theories, and improving educational outcomes to ensure the quality of graduates and their ability to effectively contribute to community building.

Also present at the opening were the President of the Libyan Academy, the President of Gharian University, and the President of Al-Zaytuna University, reflecting the national importance of this scientific gathering.

The conference activities lasted for a full day, featuring intensive scientific and research sessions attended by a select group of specialists and academics from various universities and educational institutions. 

The aim of these sessions is to exchange experiences and knowledge, and to present valuable research papers that contribute to enriching the discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing teacher education colleges in Libya. It is expected that the conference will produce effective and tangible recommendations that will enhance the role of teacher education colleges and directly contribute to raising the level of education in Libya, serving the country's developmental goals and ensuring a bright future for the coming generations. The participation of the President of Nalut University in this international conference confirms the university's commitment to engaging in initiatives that seek to elevate the educational process, believing that the development of teachers is the key to achieving any real societal progress.
