University Activity Management

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Student Activities Department is responsible for preparing and implementing student activity plans in cultural, literary, artistic, and sports fields, organizing festivals, camps, exhibitions, competitions, and university days, as well as forming and nurturing teams in various areas. The aim is to discover and refine talents, enhance team spirit and teamwork, support positive competition and excellence, and add value to academic achievement. The department exercises its responsibilities through the following two offices:

It is specifically concerned with the following:

  • Preparation and presentation of plans related to cultural student activities at the university.
  • Preparing schedules for implementing approved plans while considering class schedules, exams, and holidays.
  • Designing, distributing, processing, and analyzing forms with the aim of identifying talents in various literary, cultural, and artistic fields and nurturing and encouraging them.
  • Organizing cultural, literary, and artistic festivals with the participation of the university's colleges, and with the participation of other national universities.
  • Organizing art exhibitions for talented individuals in various artistic fields for students and faculty members.
  • Formation of theatrical, singing, and musical groups, as well as heritage and traditional bands, and organizing public performances for these groups.
  • Participation in university days and camps with artistic performances and cultural and intellectual competitions.
  • Organizing intellectual, literary, and cultural competitions in the fields of novels, short stories, and poetry, as well as essays and scientific papers and similar works, and distributing appreciation awards to the winners.
  • Reviving religious and national occasions by organizing literary, cultural, and artistic events in coordination with the relevant units.
  • Proposing and organizing participation in literary, cultural, and artistic forums between universities at the regional and international levels.
  • Proposal for printing, publishing, and distributing outstanding works from competitions, cultural festivals, and artistic performances.
  • Preparation of periodic reports on office activity.

  • Designing, distributing, processing, and analyzing forms with the aim of identifying talents in various sports fields and nurturing and encouraging them.
  • Organizing festivals and sports competitions with the participation of the university's colleges and the participation of other national universities.
  • Forming teams in various sports, assigning coaches to organize them and refine the skills of their members, and providing them with the necessary sportswear and equipment.
  • Organizing various sports leagues and distributing awards to the winners.
  • Reviving religious and national occasions through organizing sports events.
  • Proposing and organizing university days, camps, and related activities.
  • Proposing and organizing participation in sports forums between universities at the regional and international levels.
  • Preparation of periodic reports on office activity.
