In the Administration of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the university, we strive for excellence in providing administrative, financial, and technical services to the university's members. By removing all obstacles, we aim to deliver high-quality services for human resources and finance to achieve outstanding performance in accordance with organizational and administrative standards. We work to enhance job performance by developing employees to keep pace with the latest developments of the era in a scientific and practical manner that supports the interests of the work. This is done by establishing clear plans, policies, and systems for administrative and financial tasks and their implementation methods, in order for the administration to perform its assigned tasks to the fullest, striving to achieve the university's higher goals.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Office of the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs (Secretary General) at the university operates under the supervision and guidance of the university president, and among its tasks are the following 

  1. 1. Supervising the preparation of administrative, financial, and training plans related to public services, procurement, warehouses, university security, technical affairs, and projects, as well as overseeing the preparation of budgets for these plans, their timelines, and implementation policies.
  2. 2. Supervising the preparation of the university's annual budget, following up on its discussion with the relevant authorities, and working on its approval.
  3. 3. Chairing the University Personnel Affairs Committee, presenting its results for approval, and following up on their implementation.
  4. 4. Chairing the Disciplinary Committee for university employees and working on approving its results and following up on their implementation.
  5. 5. Supervising the preparation of the annual report on the university's activities and other periodic reports related to his area of supervision.
  6. 6. Supervising the preparation of the final account and submitting it for approval.
  7. 7. Supervising the implementation of the approved organizational structure and overseeing the annual job allocation and submitting it for approval.
  8. 8. Providing proposals that can develop work at the university, simplify procedures, and supervise the preparation of administrative, financial, and technical manuals for work.

The departments that fall under the Vice President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs and work directly under his supervision are:


Administrative Affairs Office

  • Performing all tasks related to employee affairs, including preparing the job structure, contract and appointment matters, promotions, secondments, loans, national service, and other related tasks in accordance with the applicable legislation.

  • Performing reception and inquiry tasks for visitors to the university administration.

Office of Financial Affairs

  • Preparation of operational and developmental budget projects, in accordance with the principles and rules set by the competent authority.

Purchasing and Stores Office

  • Providing the university's needs for office, scientific, and housing equipment and supplies, including furniture, laboratories, medical labs, computers, and other needs related to the university's operations and activities.

  • Conducting the necessary research and studies to identify ways and areas for developing the university's self-resources, and preparing the necessary plans and programs for their implementation.

Management of Technical Affairs and Projects

  • It is responsible for all tasks related to supervising the implementation of university projects, matters related to technical affairs, providing advice and opinions, and participating in the preparation of the university's transformation budget.
