In order to strengthen the bonds of scientific and cultural cooperation between Libyan and Tunisian academic, scientific, and research institutions to elevate the level of the educational and research process, and based on the nature of the joint work that brings these institutions together as scientific bodies specializing in higher education, graduate studies, and scientific research, and to drive them towards development and progress.
In light of the importance of communication between universities to advance scientific research and disseminate knowledge and sciences, and based on the desire that unites Libyan and Tunisian universities to deepen and develop cultural and scientific cooperation between them.
And in affirmation of the principle of cooperation in the fields of scientific research, development, training, knowledge transfer, and its dissemination among peoples, and in recognition of the role of universities in raising the level of education and scientific research, linking scientific and cultural bridges between educational institutions, and their contribution to raising awareness among peoples and driving them towards development and progress, and in an effort to extend scientific cooperation between them, and recognizing the importance of joint work to advance and develop the educational process.
On the morning of Tuesday, 5 Jumada al-Awwal 1444 AH, corresponding to November 29, 2022 AD, a cooperation agreement was signed at the University of Gabes in the Republic of Tunisia between Nalut University and Gabes University in the field of education and scientific research.
The agreement includes in its main clauses: –
– Establishing joint training programs.
– Cooperation in the field of graduate studies.
– Planning and implementing joint scientific research.
– Joint organization of seminars, conferences, and scientific events.
– Exchange of delegation (transfer) of professors, staff, and students between the two universities.
– Subscription to the publication of scientific journals, references, bibliographic sources, knowledge, media materials, and other materials that contribute to achieving common goals.
– Collaboration in updating and developing academic programs and curricula at various stages to align with the job market.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Nalut University by Professor Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, the President of the University, and on behalf of Gabes University by Dr. Kamel Abdel Rahim, the President of Gabes University.
