The first international scientific conference, held under the title: "Transnational Crimes and Their Implications for Libyan National Security," concluded on the evening of Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the city of Benghazi. The conference, which lasted for two days on Wednesday and Thursday, witnessed a wide attendance of academics and experts from inside and outside Libya.
The conference served as an important platform for exchanging ideas and experiences to address the current security challenges posed by these crimes to Libyan national security.
Dr. Mohamed Othman Abdul Sayed, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Al-Ruhaybat branch, participated in the conference as a member of the scientific committee, where he played a prominent role in enriching the discussions and guiding the sessions. Dr. Abdul Sayed also chaired one of the scientific sessions, which contributed to deepening the discussion on the main themes of the conference.
At the conclusion of the conference, the participants came up with many practical recommendations aimed at developing effective strategies to reduce the spread of these crimes and combat them. The participants expressed their hope that these recommendations would contribute to enhancing Libyan national security and protecting the country and its people.
