The launch of the third scientific conference titled (Scholars, Figures, and Landmarks of Nefusa and Zuwara, Past and Present) under the slogan "Nefusa: Authenticity and Modernity"
The third international scientific conference titled "Scholars, Figures, and Landmarks of Nefusa and Zuwara: Past and Present" was launched this morning, Monday, the 13th of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1445 AH, corresponding to May 20, 2024, at the auditorium of the administrative complex in the new city of Jadu. The conference is organized by Nalut University under the auspices of the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education, the Municipality of Jadu, and the Nefusa Cultural and Social Communication Foundation, with the slogan "Nefusa: Authenticity and Modernity."

A select group of professors, experts, and specialists from various Libyan and Arab universities, scientific centers, institutions, organizations, and higher institutes from Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and the Sultanate of Oman are participating in this conference.
The scientific committee of the conference received 52 research papers, of which 45 were accepted.

The opening of the conference was attended by the Mayor of Jadu, the President of Nalut University, the University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Secretary General of the University, the Director of the Northern Mountain Directorate, several department directors, the President and members of the Al-Istiqaama Foundation, the Nafusa Foundation for Cultural and Social Communication, the Sheikh Ali Yahya Maamar Association, the Dar Al-Da'wah Organization, members of the Jadu Municipal Council, and a group of interested individuals from various Libyan, Tunisian, Algerian, and Omani cities.

  1. Understanding the succession of historical phases of Mount Nefusa and Zuwara.

  4. Introducing generations to the heritage of Nefusa and Zwara and drawing from it.
  5. Introducing the role of institutions and organizations contributing to addressing the issues of the region
