In preparation for the second international scientific conference on economic and political studies, which will be held under the slogan:
"Towards achieving sustainable spatial development,"
The preparatory meeting for the Second International Scientific Conference on Economic and Political Studies was held on the morning of Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the meeting hall of the Ghademes Municipal Council.
The meeting was opened by Mr. Abd al-Sattar Bashir Hayba, a member of the municipal council of Ghadames, who welcomed the committee members and the esteemed attendees. He then introduced Dr. Ilyas Abu Bakr al-Baruni, the conference president, who began to manage the meeting and discuss the agenda.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Nalut University, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The attendees reviewed the final arrangements at various levels in preparation for the upcoming conference scheduled to be held in the city of Ghadames from October 28 to 30, 2025, confirming complete readiness and the integration of logistical and organizational preparations.
The meeting addressed the following key points:
• Presentation of the conference details to the municipal council: a comprehensive review of the progress in organizational and logistical arrangements.
• Logistical preparations for welcoming guests: assessing the readiness of hotels and accommodation and catering facilities designated for the participating delegations.
• Security coordination for the conference: Discussing the mechanism of cooperation with security agencies to ensure the safety and comfort of participants.
• Arrangements for meeting venues: ensuring the readiness of halls, auditoriums, and required technical equipment.
• Media plan and press coverage: Adopt a communication plan with the media to cover the conference events in a professional and extensive manner.
• Parallel Program (Cultural, Artistic, and Tourism): Review and approval of the cultural, artistic, and tourism programs accompanying the conference.
The meeting concluded with all committees and participating entities affirming their commitment to work in a spirit of teamwork to ensure the success of the conference and achieve its scientific and developmental goals.
After the decisions were approved, the attendees conducted a comprehensive tour of the sites and facilities related to the conference to assess their readiness.
