In preparation for the fourth international scientific conference titled "Scholars, Figures, and Landmarks of Nefusa and Zuwara: Past and Present," which will be held under the slogan "Nefusa and Zuwara: Connection and Communication,"
The third meeting of the preparatory, scientific, and media committee for the conference was held on the morning of Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the headquarters of Nalut University. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, the President of Nalut University and the honorary president of the conference.

The conference is organized by Nalut University in collaboration with the Faculty of Education in Zuwara at Al-Zawiya University, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Zuwara Municipal Council, and the Abdul Rahman Al-Waluli Association for Authenticity and Communication in Zuwara.
Key points discussed in the meeting:
The meeting reviewed the arrangements at all levels for the launch of the conference scheduled to be held in the city of Zuwara on November 4-5, 2025. The attendees discussed the preparations and necessary arrangements to hold the conference on time, emphasizing their complete readiness and the integration of all preparations.
The meeting also discussed the following items:
1. Preparatory Committee: Presentation and discussion of what the committee has reached regarding the accommodation of participants, the preparation of the halls, and the organization of the reception of conference guests at Mitiga Airport and the Ras Ajdir and Wazin crossings.
2. Scientific Committee: Presentation of the committee's findings regarding the reception and evaluation of research.
3. Media Committee: Presentation and discussion of the readiness of all printed materials and posters related to the conference.
4. Book Fair: Presentation and discussion of a proposal to organize a book fair accompanying the conference, dedicated to authors from the Mountain region and Zuwara.
5. Securing live coverage of the event: Discussing a plan to communicate with satellite channels and radio stations in the region, as well as various media outlets, to ensure coverage and transmission of the conference activities.
6. Invitation of legal entities: Discussion of the plan to send official invitations to legal entities and relevant bodies to attend the conference events.
7. New business: A proposal was presented for the conference participants to visit the historical landmarks of the city of Zuwara.
