The first meeting of the offices for the support and empowerment of women at Libyan universities and the Academy and its branches
Ms. Salma Ali Barqiq attended, representing the Office for Support and Empowerment of Women at Nalut University, the first meeting of the Offices for Support and Empowerment of Women at Libyan universities and the Libyan Academy and its branches, held on the morning of Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the capital, Tripoli, chaired by Dr. Sumaya Abdul Qader, Director of the Office for Support and Empowerment of Women at the ministry, and attended by the directors of the offices at the universities and the Libyan Academy and its branches.
The meeting discussed:
– Activities of the Women's Support and Empowerment Offices at universities and the Libyan Academy and its branches for the year 2022 and mid-2023,
– Work plans for the year 2023.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. "Imran Al-Qeib," who praised the efforts of the directors of the offices for supporting and empowering women at universities. He emphasized the necessity of completing the work plan for these offices for the year 2023, affirming the ministry's support for these programs. He also addressed the importance of caring for the environment within Libyan universities and the significance of these offices in supporting environmental issues within them.
