The Director of the Information and Documentation Center at Nalut University, Mr. Riyad Suleiman Jernaz, attended the fifth meeting of the Supreme Committee for the National Information System, hosted by the Information and Documentation Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which was held on the morning of Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Ministry's headquarters.
The meeting was attended by the esteemed Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company, the Digital Transformation Project Manager at the Holding Company, the Project Manager for the Fiber Optic Connection for Universities at Libya Telecom, the Director of the Information and Documentation Center, the Advisor and Director of the Minister's Office, the Chairman and members of the Advisory Committee at the ministry, the Director of the Ministry Affairs Office, the Directors of Information and Documentation Centers at the universities, several department directors at the ministry, and the center's staff.
The meeting discussed the presentation of digital transformation projects at the ministry that are set to be launched soon in partnership with the telecommunications holding company, including the provision of fiber optics to universities, the digital library, and electronic archiving.
During the meeting, the top five information and documentation centers at universities were honored, along with the outstanding employees at the information and documentation center at the ministry.
It is worth noting that the documentation center at the university has been selected as one of the top five centers among Libyan universities.
