Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, President of Nalut University, participated in the fourth regular meeting of the Libyan university presidents, which was held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in the main conference hall of the General Administration Building of Sebha University.
Dr. Masoud Imhamed Al-Raqiq, President of Sebha University, opened the fourth consultative meeting, welcoming the attendees and esteemed guests, congratulating everyone on the thirteenth anniversary of the glorious February 17th Revolution, hoping that God Almighty will unite the country and bring its people together.
The attendees began their work by approving the minutes of the third meeting held at the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies in Janzour. Afterwards, Dr. Abdul Fattah Al-Sayah, the head of the University Faculty Members' Union, spoke and informed the attendees about the reviews the union conducted regarding the procedures discussed by the attendees concerning Law No. (4).
The attendees at this meeting confirmed, after extensive discussions, a number of important topics related to the subject of the meeting, the most important of which are:
• Speed of approval of the executive regulations of the law (4).
• Discussion of the situation of dormitories in universities.
• Addressing the relevant authorities regarding the resumption of aid.
• Disbursing financial grants to students regularly and continuously.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the President of Nalut University signed a cooperation agreement with Sebha University.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees agreed to support the General Union of University Faculty Members in order to follow up on what was agreed upon with the relevant authorities, emphasizing the continuation of studies and the completion of the academic year in the best possible manner.
