In confirmation of the university's role in supporting economic and national events, the organizing committee of the Daraj International Date Exhibition and its accompanying industries welcomed the President of Nalut University, Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, on the evening of Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was received by Engineer Abdul Mowli Hamadi, the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the exhibition, Mr. Ibrahim Hassan Ghulam, the CEO of the exhibition, and Mr. Al-Hadiri Abu Zaid Al-Tahir, the representative of the new Daraj neighborhood.
He was accompanied on his tour by: Professor Mahmoud Ahmed Abdullah, a faculty member at the College of Economics and Political Science at the university, and Professor Salem Jumaa Othman, a faculty member at the College of Medical Technology at the university.
During the tour, you will see a wide variety of displayed dates, along with palm products and handicrafts that highlight the cultural and economic significance of the industries associated with the palm sector.
At the conclusion of the visit, the university president expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the organizing committee overseeing the exhibition, praising the excellent organization, warm reception, and generous hospitality, while emphasizing the positive impact of such events in enhancing local development and supporting the national economy.
The organizing committee presented the university president with a special type of dates as a gift, produced by the Darj municipality.
