Conclusion of the activities of the first edition of the Libya Scientific Excellence Award competition
The activities of the Libya Scientific Excellence Award competition, which was organized and supervised, concluded on the afternoon of Monday, February 13, 2023.Gharian University Which started on Sunday, February 12, 2023, in the presence of the gentlemen:
• Prof. Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, PresidentNalut University.
• Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Ghouma, PresidentGharian University.
• Dr. Nagy Al-Hadi Aburas, Director of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Office at Nalut University.
• Professor Ramadan Youssef Askar, representative of Nalut University.
• Mr. Deputy for Scientific Affairs at Gharian University.
• The Secretary General of Gharian University.
• A number of deans of colleges and directors of departments and offices at the University of Gharian.
It is worth mentioning that 18 Libyan universities participated in this competition with 31 research papers in the fields of applied sciences, humanities, and health sciences, in which they excelled at their universities, and it is noteworthy thatGharian UniversityA prize of ten thousand dinars has been allocated for each outstanding research project in the three areas.
The results of the competition were as follows: –
First: -The first winner: in the field of health sciences at the level of Libyan universities "Research submitted by Medical Technology College in Nalut, Nalut UniversityEntitled "Evaluation of the Quality of Some Food Products According to the Libyan Standard Specifications for the Data Sheet." Achievement for the students:-

– Hanadi Khalifa Al-Sheikh
– Salsabeel Ibrahim Al-Khamaisi
The research is under the supervision of Dr. Nagy Al-Hadi Aburas, a faculty member at the College of Medical Technology in Nalut.
Secondly: - The first winner: in the field of applied sciences at the level of Libyan universities, a research presented byكلية الهندسة جامعة درنة Entitled "Experimental and Mathematical Modeling for Thermal Investigation of a Photovoltaic Module Cooled by Heat Sinks Under Derna-Libya Climatic Conditions."

Thirdly: - The first winner: in the field of humanities at the level of Libyan universities, a research presented byFaculty of Sharia and Law, Al-Ajilat, Zawiya University Entitled "Criminal Liability for Medical Errors".

Our heartfelt congratulations to student Asmaa Omar Al-Makhrouf, student Hanadi Khalifa Al-Sheikh, and student Salsabeel Ibrahim Al-Khamaisi on achieving first place in the Health Sciences category with an average of 85.67. We also congratulate the group supervisor, Dr. Nagy Al-Hadi Aburas, on this achievement.
