"Securing and Verifying Academic Credentials through Blockchain Technology in Education"

Workshop titled "Documenting Certificates and Protecting Them from Forgery Using Blockchain Technology in Education (BLOCKCHAIN)"

Mr. Riyad Suleiman Jernaz, the Director of the Information and Documentation Center at Nalut University, and Mr. Khalifa Saleh Abouda, the University Registrar, participated in a workshop titled "Documenting Certificates and Protecting Them from Forgery," which was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science, hosted by the University of Tripoli.

The workshop started on the morning of Monday, February 5, 2024, and aims to enhance the reputation of public and private higher education institutions, facilitate the mobility of students between educational institutions in the Arab world, and increase employers' confidence while alleviating concerns about the damage or loss of certificates.

The workshop targeted the directors of information and documentation centers and the registrars at universities and the Libyan Academy.

It is worth noting that this workshop lasted for three consecutive days to introduce blockchain technology in education, in addition to training the participants on the "Sadaqni" system for verifying the authenticity of certificates and protecting them from forgery.
