Within the framework of cooperation and coordination betweenجامعة نالوت Nalut University ومركز المعلومات والتوثيق بوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلميWith the support of the esteemed minister, and within the framework of qualifying and training the staff of information and documentation centers in Libyan universities.
Both Professor Riyad Suleiman Jurnaz, Director of the Information and Documentation Center at the university, and Engineer Ayman Youssef Askar, Head of the Information Technology Department at the center, will participate in the third training course held in the city of Alexandria, Arab Republic of Egypt, from June 1, 2024, to June 7, 2024, in the field of cybersecurity.
The course is organized and supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and targets the employees of the information and documentation centers at Nalut University, Wadi al-Shati University, and Derna University, as well as the employees of the Information and Documentation Center at the ministry.
The course covers a range of topics related to information security, communications, and networks. It helps improve and secure websites in general and networks in particular.
On this occasion, the Director of the University Information Center commends the efforts made to enhance the performance of information and documentation centers at Libyan universities. He extends his gratitude to the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, and to the General Director of the Information and Documentation Center at the Ministry, Dr. Abubakr Issa, for their support and assistance for these training programs, which benefit the university in particular and the ministry in general.
It is worth noting that cybersecurity is the process of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks. These cyberattacks typically aim to access, alter, or destroy sensitive information, with the intent of stealing money from users or disrupting normal business operations.
Implementing cybersecurity measures poses a significant challenge today due to the number of devices exceeding the number of people, and attackers have become more innovative.
