The Nalut University actively participates in the sixth session of the Forum of Presidents of Islamic World Universities, represented by its president, Professor Dr. Muhammad Masoud Qnan, and the university's vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Saleh Said Al-Alawi.
This important forum is held in the Kingdom of Morocco in partnership with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Higher Education Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and it will last for two days, June 23 and 24, 2025.
The forum in its sixth session focuses on enhancing investment in the future of higher education in the Islamic world, strengthening cooperation and partnerships between universities, in addition to benefiting from the latest technologies and emerging technologies in the educational process. The forum also discusses ways to develop curricula, increase scholarships, and organize exhibitions for advanced technologies, which enhances the quality of higher education and meets the requirements of the modern era.
It is expected that both Professor Dr. Mohammed Qnan and Dr. Saleh Al-Alawi will contribute their expertise to discussions related to curriculum development, enhancing scientific research, and adopting innovation in universities. The forum will also provide them with the opportunity to learn about best international practices in university management and the development of educational programs that serve the university's vision and future goals.
The participation of Nalut University comes as part of a Libyan delegation that also includes the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University of Tripoli, and the University of Gharyan, reflecting Libya's commitment to being actively present in international academic forums and enhancing cooperation with Islamic universities. The Ministry of Higher Education works to support Libyan universities in such participations and to coordinate efforts to enhance the image of Libyan higher education at the regional and international levels.
This participation comes as part of Nalut University’s efforts to open up to global scientific forums and enhance its academic standing. It also provides an opportunity to exchange experiences with universities in the Islamic world and explore avenues for collaboration in the fields of scientific research, curriculum development, and expanding academic exchange programs. Through its active presence, the university aims to achieve its goals of advancing higher education and scientific research, improving the quality of education in the western region of Libya, enhancing its position among its peers in the Islamic world, and opening new horizons for academic and scientific cooperation that serve the needs of the local community and drive development forward.
