Participation of Nalut University in the Third Scientific Conference of the Libyan Sociological Association

Professor Mohamed Ahmad Ibrahim, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law at Nalut University, participated in the third scientific conference of the Libyan Society for Sociology, titled "Issues of Public Policies in Libya," under the slogan (Challenges and Future Pathways).

The conference was organized by the Libyan Sociological Association on Monday, September 9, 2024, in partnership with the National Council for Economic and Social Development at the council's conference hall in the capital, Tripoli.

The conference witnessed a remarkable international participation with the presence of a select group of local academics and experts, alongside participants from sister Arab countries (Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Syria).

The conference included the presentation of (19) scientific papers distributed across three morning and evening sessions, discussing a range of vital topics related to the issues of public policies in Libya. Participants reviewed ways to develop policies aimed at achieving stability, sustainable development, and social peace in the country.

The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Director General of the Council in his capacity as the President of the conference, the President of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, the honorary president of the Libyan Sociological Association, and a number of heads of Libyan universities and academies, in addition to a group of experts, interested individuals, and specialists in all fields of the humanities, as well as civil activists.

Also present at the opening ceremony were the esteemed Ambassador of the sisterly State of Algeria and several presidents of Libyan universities (Sirte, Nalut, Sabratha, and the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies), as well as a number of specialists and those interested in social and economic affairs.
