The fifth consultative meeting of Libyan university presidents….
Mr. University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, attends the fifth consultative meeting of the heads of Libyan universities and higher education unions held in the main conference hall at the Faculty of Fataih at Derna University today, Thursday, April 18, 2024. The meeting was chaired by Mr. (Dr. Nasr Ayad Al-Mansouri), President of Derna University, in the presence of the General Syndicate of Faculty Members and the General Syndicate of Employees in Higher Education.
The meeting comes after a series of consultative meetings held during previous periods aimed at discussing the progress of the educational process, and the desired outcomes from the communications and meetings that the general unions in higher education held with the relevant authorities to implement the legal demands of employees, faculty members, and teaching assistants, as well as the agreement sponsored by the Attorney General regarding financial demands.
At the end of the meeting, a statement was delivered in which the attendees expressed their full solidarity with the demands of the teaching assistants and faculty members regarding the entitlements of Law No. (18), the entitlements for overseas missions, and the salaries of teaching assistants at Libyan universities.
